You also need this app, even if you’re a tie knot aficionado looking for new ideas. This app is also a must-have if you’re trying to help someone else. I use this every time I have to wear a tie. Even now, just to double check that I’m doing a tie right.

Every knot explanation literally starts with “Sometimes called”, or paraphrased as ‘A.K.A.’. That being said, it offers a top down view, which is immensely helpful. The head on view is backward, like most current tie apps, but it does help to clarify things. Overall, it’s the best tie-a-tie app currently being offered for free.

Love the daily tips and illustrations are understandable

I was browsing apps late at night and stumbled upon this simplistic approach to a tie tutorial app. Downloaded it and it does exactly what ya think it would, tells ya how to tie ties in several different ways...but it’s HOW...it tells you. Front view and top view is a must for this sort of thing, so that’s there for your viewing pleasure. It simply, works. Helps you look great in business or casual meetings and helps you show off to your colleagues and even helps with impressing your SO. Also has a chill little daily tip section. Simplicity is key and this owns that and frankly I think this app is a little underrated on those standpoints alone. I don’t write reviews typically but felt it on this one. Download this bad boy and give them a new tie skills a whirl friends👔

It's a free app with no ads no in app purchases! Definitely the best app with a very simple and easy steps. I learned a lot from this app regarding ties, now i can tie my ties in different ways when before I didn't even know how to.

Great app. The basics and not so basics of style. But after a while the club tie and the firm handshake and a certain look in the eye and an easy smile start to become redundant--as do the tips. So please add more. Thank you.

This is what this app is for. Making a tie is becoming a lost art. This app is keeping it alive and well for me. Half Windsor is my favorite one to make. It's actually fun to learn how to make a tie thanks to this app. Thank you.

This restores my faith in humanity. Think about it -- this random guy decides to build a free app that helps other men look fly as hell. I may be wrong, but there doesn't appear to be any ads, in-app purchases or corporate sponsorship. Just a nice guy, doing the world a solid. Setting my #ManCrush aside, This app is impressively designed. The layout is intuitive, and the top down pictures are brilliant! This app is a great replacement for the bow tie instruction sheet that has been tucked into my carry on bag for years. Kudos!

This app does show full diagrams on how to tie certain knots. Perfect for the standard types of knots used for modern day apparel.

Six tie knots is not nearly enough. I suggest adding more and adding description, occasion info, and what tie/collar type it goes best with.

Look, $0.99 for 6 tie techniques... Its pretty sad.

This app is junk. Does not even come close to being step by step. We're left to guess what may have happened in between each picture. Just us a YouTube video and save the frustration.

The still images are not descriptive enough. Steps are missing. Would benefit from animated vs live action video.

The app is fairly good at explaining how to tie your basic and generic knots. They should add more be cause there are thousands of ways to tie a tie. Also the daily tip repeats it's self every two weeks it seems. Maybe change it up and get some valuable wardrobe information in the tips

Tying a tie correctly is one of those basic skills men just aren't learning anymore. Don't be that guy who says, "I can't tie a tie!", even if you can't from memory you CAN with this app and nobody will be any the wiser. And chicks dig a guy who knows how to dress correctly. Guys do to if you're into that (YMMV, it's all good!) Just get this app, you'll be happy you did the next time a wedding or funeral pops up.

Since release there hasn't been a knot. Add more knots.

Before I only knew one kind of knot, but now I learned more and enjoy doing the others because they look stylish!

I don't know why but they have trimmed the amounts of knots in this version. I paid extra to have more of them and now they're gone. Please fix this.

The first homepage (ties) of this app is too long for 4s.

Easy to use!

Instructions are somewhat hard to follow at the beggining but with practice you can get the hang of it... The spanish traduction in the settings section is terrible! Jaja it says: "gracias por usar la derecha del lazo" which in english means something like : "thank you for using the right side of the bow" XD

Can you please update it and add the Eldredge knot please.
